SRA Village Hall online event

FREE online event, being held as part of Village Halls Week 2025. On 20th March 1-2pm.

I'm delighted to share some information about a FREE online event, which is being held as part of Village Halls Week 2025. On 20th March 1-2pm, SRA is partnering with Social Enterprise Scotland (SES) and three very inspiring speakers, to celebrate our wonderful village halls, and the people who run them.

Our speakers - Colintraive Village Hall (Argyll), Brodick Community Hall (Isle of Arran), and an urban speaker from SES (TBC) - will offer examples of the diverse and interesting activities taking place in village halls, how they involve their communities, and the challenges and stresses encountered along the way. These will be real, honest accounts of community spaces in action, with an opportunity to network, share stories, experiences, and learn from one another. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement from SES, which will conclude our session.

To sign up, please visit Eventbrite: Thriving Village Halls: Inspiring Income Ideas Workshop Tickets, Thu, Mar 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM | Eventbrite. This event is open to anyone who would like to attend, therefore feel free to share with your network. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your access or participation requirements, please email Nikki nikki@sra.scot or phone 07799137779.

We hope to see you there!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know about an online petition set up by Isle of Mull-based Interior Designer, Banjo Beale, to stop the decline of community spaces - you can take a look here. Banjo has also teamed up with Crown Paints UK, which has committed to donating 50,000 litres of paint to local communities! Check out Banjo's facebook page for more information.

Best wishes,

Nikki
