About Greener Kemnay
A group of Kemnay villagers came together in 2012 to discuss environmental issues and went on to form the Greener Kemnay group. The activities concentrate on developing paths, community gardening and encouraging a reduction in the use of new resources.
Role of The Garioch Partnership
The Garioch Partnership Supported Greener Kemnay to become a charity and present accounts to OSCR in 2016. Advice before and since along with two grants has allowed the group to apply for extra funding for two new paths and to help in the formation of the Birley Bush Community Garden.
TGP's support to the Greener Kemnay Trustees by providing a listening ear and advice has been important to the group as they have grown and become more established, taking on more and bigger projects.
Greener Kemnay has gone on to be successful with applications in their own, securing funds from the Co-op, Amey Arup, AWPR, Aberdeenshire Council and Creative Scotland.
Testimonials
For our Trustees the listening ear and advice has been as important as the financial help we have received.
